How to Get Information on Baby Recalls

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission is the premier agency for baby product safety. This article shows you how to find the most recent baby product recalls.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Link to the Homepage.

    Go to the US Consumer Products Safety Commissions webpage (See link in Resources Sections). Click on “Recalls and Product Safety News”. This link is near the top of the page.

  2. Step 2

    Find baby product recalls for the most recent 2 months.

    Once you’ve clicked the link, you'll see options for the most recent 2 months. Choose one of them. This will lead you to a page of recall topics with a brief description underneath. Look for baby product recalls. To find in depth details, click on the link of the baby product that you are interested in. This page will give you details like the name of the manufacturer, the number of incidents reported, etc. There is also a customer contact number for you to use in case you need further details about the baby product you are interested in.

  3. Step 3

    Sign up to receive email alerts of baby product recalls.

    On the US Consumer Products Safety Commissions Homepage, there is an option for signing up for email announcements. Fill in the appropriate information to receive information on baby product categories that you are interested in.
