Hardward. Look at the logo - is it straight? No glue coming out the side? Are the zippers working smoothly? Is the fabric in good shape? What does the lining look like? What does the interior look like? What is the material microfiber, buffalo leather? Make sure all of these comply with other Prada standards.

Look for authenticity cards and other items to authenticate the bag. If it comes from a Prada store, it should have the card and the box. Remember the card should have the style on it. The bag may also come with a cardboard card with a bar code on it. Most Prada bags do NOT have a hang tag on them.

Be wary of who you are buying from. If you are buying on an auction site or from a website look at their other merchandise, google for feedback. Department stores and Prada are the only authorized sellers.
