Does finding the perimeter of a triangle have you in a triangle? If so, I'm here to tell you that it can easily be solved in 3 simple steps! All you'll need is the formula for finding the perimeter, and the given information of the problem.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Formula for the perimeter of a triangle.
  1. Step 1

With these kind of problems you will need to use a formula to find the perimeter. The formula for finding the perimeter of a triangle is P=a+b+c. 'P' stands for perimeter, and 'a', 'b', and 'c' stand for the three sides of the triangle.

  2. Step 2

Now that you know the formula you can plug in the given sides. Let's say that the three sides of the triangle are 13, 22 and 8. After you plug these givens into the formula it should look like this; P=13+22+8.

  3. Step 3

From there all you'll need to do is simply add everything together, so P=43. The perimeter for this specific triangle is 43. Now, wasn't that easy?!
