My kids could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day and for every meal, that is if I would let. So I have put a twist on the standard, kid favorite, peanut butter and jelly and make grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches. It has definitly become a hit with my two boys.

This is also a hit if you have a house of teenagers, snacks, and appetizer before the actual meal is ready.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bread (I use wheat bread)
  • Peanut butter
  • Bananas, Sliced
  • Honey
  • Butter
  • A Skillet
  1. Step 1

First, get out all your ingredients, slice a banana, and warm up the skillet.

  2. Step 2

Butter the outsides of the bread. Spread peanut butter on one inside of the sandwiches. Place banana slices on the other half of the sandwich. Drizzle honey over the banana slices.

  3. Step 3

Join the two halves together. Place in the heated skillet, buttered sides. Flip over after a few minutes, until the bread has turned in to a golden brown. Remove from skillet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Kids like to help assemble sandwiches.
  • Add some raisins.
  • Don't let kids help using the skillet unless they have direct adult supervision.
