Things You'll Need:
- City Pass booklet
-
Step 1
Choose your destination. This can be the hardest and most fun part of using a City Pass. If you are planning a family vacation look at the cities where the City Pass is offered and review the attraction list. If there are several places on the list that your family has always wanted to visit use the City Pass discounts to narrow down your choices to cities with attractions that fit within your travel budget.
-
Step 2
Purchase the City Pass either online or in person. To purchase online, visit the official City Pass website (see link in resource section) and order the City Pass booklet there. Have the City Pass shipped to you via UPS or print a ticket voucher and take it to any attraction ticket window. You can also wait to purchase a City Pass when you arrive at any one of the attractions featured in the booklet.
-
Step 3
Prioritize the City Pass attractions by choosing which tourist spots you would like to visit first. Since the City Pass booklets expire after a certain number of days (it varies by city) make sure you prioritize. For instance, if you purchase an Atlanta City Pass you have 9 days from the date of purchase to visit: the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, Zoo Atlanta, Inside CNN Studio Tour, the Atlanta Botanical Garden or the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the High Museum of Art or the Atlanta History Center. So make sure you visit the places on the top of your list first!
-
Step 4
Use the additional information in the City Pass discount booklet to make the most of your trip. There are great deals on restaurants and other fun activities near the major attractions. There are also helpful traveling tips provided by National Geographic Traveler magazine so take advantage of all the great deals and information and watch your family vacation savings add up!
