  1. Step 1

The art of baseball hitting is not nearly as simple as the concept. The concept involves seeing the ball and hitting the ball. However, the ability to do so will involve a lot of baseball training as well as a good amount of focusing on the art of baseball pitching. To be able to achieve success in hitting the baseball you will need to spend a good amount of time practicing and studying in order to be able to find a niche and to enhance your hitting ability.

  2. Step 2

The biggest thing to concern yourself with when it comes to baseball hitting is hand eye coordination. There are a number of different ways to be able to emphasize and improve this. Consulting a doctor or simply a coach can allow you to do this. There are different items available from both eye doctors and trainers that can help you to enhance and improve your hand eye coordination. Look for various tools as well as games that you can play to be able to improve and enhance this.

  3. Step 3

Baseball hitting from a tee is probably one of the best ways to be able to learn and perfect your hitting stroke. Since you will be hitting the ball from a stationary point you will be able to learn how to approach as well as follow through on your swing. Another major benefit of hitting from tee is determining what type of hitter you are going to be. Not everyone is a power hitter, not everyone can hit for average. Use the tee to see how it is that you drive the ball and where you drive the ball as well.

By using a tee you will be able to understand where and when it is you want to hit a pitch as it comes at you. It will also allow you to find out where you should stand in the batter' s box. Being able to find and master your hitting stroke in a tee will end up allowing you to better approach and develop consistency when facing live action. The tee is not only a tool to use when learning and developing a swing; it is something that you will use for your entire career as a hitter.

Observation is one of the best things you can do when you are learning the art of hitting. Studying other hitter's habits as well as pitchers tendencies will aid you tremendously.

  4. Step 4

Determining pitch location and having the ability to see where the ball is are tremendous assets. Study what successful hitters do and what tendencies they have. Develop consistencies in your approach and use what it is that works for you.

  5. Step 5

Learn about waiting on the pitch and how to drive a pitch. Depending on the situation that you will be in come game time will determine what the approach to take when hitting. Will you need to hit the ball on the ground or put the ball in the air? The ability to do this will not only depend on your ability to react to the pitch, but your ability to adjust your swing accordingly. Learning how to swing down and up again goes back to the tee. Practicing on a hitting tee to learn how to get under the ball and put more air under it to hit a fly ball to drive runners in. As a lead off hitter you will spend more time trying to put the ball on the ground and in play by driving it down.

  6. Step 6

Using videos and getting to cages and in the field are the best way to learn and improve your baseball hitting. Facing actual baseball pitching is also the best way besides a tee to learn how to approach and succeed at different types of situations. Receiving the proper baseball training will allow you to do this.
