The eHow widget is a great tool to promote your articles. If you have a blogspot, you will learn how to add the eHow widget to your blog in just a few simple steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your Blogger Account.
  • The code for the eHow widget.
  1. Step 1

First you will need to log in to your Blogger account and click on layout. You should now choose the location where you want to place the eHow widget.

  2. Step 2

Once you have decided where you will place your widget, click on Add a Gadget. A new window will pop up and you need to click on the plus sign beside HTML/Javascript. Now another window will open with two boxes, the Title box and the Content box. Leave this up on your screen while you get the eHow widget code.

  3. Step 3

Now it is time to get the eHow widget code that will be embedded into your blog. Simply open another window browser and go to eHow. You will need to log in to your account and go to your profile page.

  4. Step 4

The eHow widget will be on the lower left side of your profile page. Click on Get Started and you will see the widget code. Simply copy or click Copy to Clipboard.

  5. Step 5

Now you will need to paste this code into the HTML/Javascript Content box you opened a few minutes ago. You can do this by right clicking your mouse and choosing paste, or you can use the Ctrl V function. Once the code is pasted, you will need to click Save to save your work.

  6. Step 6

When you see that it has been saved, you will want to view your blog to be sure everything is the way you want it. If so, you are done and your blog traffic can now enjoy your eHow articles while browsing your blog.

Tips & Warnings
  • I suggest adding the eHow widget just before your blog posts or just after because there is enough room so that the widget is not cut off in any way.
  • If you do not have the Add a Gadget feature above or below your blog posts, you can simply use the Add a Gadget feature anywhere on your layout page and then click and drag the HTML/Javascript box to the location you want it.
