Things You'll Need:
- A Facebook account
-
Step 1
Hatchling eggIf you have Facebook friends that are playing Hatchlings, chances are you've seen notices on your wall stating that your friend has just found a new egg. Click on that egg to get started on your own hunt.
You’ll be taken through the typical set up that asks you to allow Hatchlings onto your profile and it’ll give you the option to invite more friends. You can ignore this step and view you basket or you can go ahead and click on a few of your friends for invites. -
Step 2
Rare HatchlingsIf you haven't seen the Hatchling invite come across your wall, go to Hatchlings application in the link provided below. Install the application by clicking just under the grassy patch. If the grass patch has an egg in it, come back and click on the egg. You've just found an egg that will be added to your basket. Check the site often for eggs. They also included a list of some Facebook pages that have the eggs hidden on their site. Check those too.
-
Step 3
Fun and addictive.Find more eggs on your own basket page by checking the patch of grass. You can also visit friends who have installed this application and collect eggs on their page. Find your friends by scrolling all the way down to the bottom of you page and clicking on Friends with Hatchlings.
-
Step 4
Hatched HatchlingBut wait there's more: Once you've collected your egg you have the option to incubate the egg. You little hatchling will turn into a cute little creature. As you collect more eggs (especially duplicates) you can choose to feed your pets (your own hatchlings) to keep them happy.

on 4/2/2009 Thanks for the information on hatchlings. I wondered what those eggs were all about. I guess this is the Facebook version of virtual pets!
