How to Do Leg Exercises at Work
Get moving at work with leg exercises. Keeping your legs in good shape is important for proper blood circulation and ease of movement throughout your day. You can exercise at your desk, while you talk on the phone or wait for the copier. These movements take away one more excuse for not exercising.

1
Take the stairs. Get some cardio and strength training while climbing up to your office instead of taking the elevator. If you're a beginner, or you work on an extremely high floor, climb the first few floors and take the elevator the rest of the way.
-
2
Strengthen your quads at your desk. While seated, straighten your legs and squeeze your thighs, contracting the quad muscle on top.

3
Find an empty room and do lunges for one minute. Take a big step forward, then bend your front knee and lower your back knee toward the floor.
-
4
In the same empty room, run in place for one minute to get a cardio blast and work all the muscles in your legs.
-
5
Do a calf stretch by leaning against a wall and moving one leg slightly behind the other. Stretch the back of your leg, below the knee. Switch legs.
-
6
Make excuses to walk during the day. Walk over and talk to a co-worker instead of sending an email. Make copies yourself instead of handing them off to your assistant. Take a walk for part of your lunch break.

Tips & Warnings
Pedal exercisers can also be placed on a table so that the arms and hands can have a workout. Prices can range from $20 to over $100. The more expensive models offer some type of a resistance system for a more strenuous workout.
Check with your doctor before starting any form of leg exercises.
Be sure compression stockings are right for you. Check with a health care professional.
