Deal With a Biting Puppy

Puppies are cute and adorable. They light up are lives with their cute faces and funny antics. But often their habit of biting can be a source of frustration. Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to deal with puppy biting. Mouthing and puppy biting is normal, however it must be subdued or trained out of them at an early age. At the puppy stage it is usually a sign of play. As the puppy approaches adulthood , it could turn into real aggression.

Things You'll Need:

  • puppy
  • patience
  1. Step 1

Mouthing and puppy biting is normal, however it must be subdued or trained out of them at an early age. If your puppy attempts to bite or successfully bites any part of your body,if sitting, stand up.

  2. Step 2

Look your puppy in the eyes and yelp "ouch" and follow with "no bite". Proceed to fold arms and turn your back to the puppy.

  3. Step 3

Wait a few minutes and return to the puppy.

    * If your puppy becomes immune to this, gently close your puppies mouth and "no bite". I have tried both.
