Things You'll Need:

  • Self-examination
  • Find tool to deal with your emotions
  • Get professional assistance
  1. Step 1

Take minerals. Food cravings often cause by a deficiency of the mineral chromium. Adding chromium to your diet, can help ease the desire to binge eat. Also eat on time and eat, regular balanced meals.

  2. Step 2

Clean out your cabinets. If you tend to binge on junk foods. Make sure there is not junk food in your cabinets. Throw out everything that you love to eat. Do not leave temptation and you can not eat what is not there.

  3. Step 3

Keep trace of the time when you binge. Does it happen every time you get your feelings hurt. Try to trace the cause of your desire to stuff down your feeling to a particular incident. If you can trace it, they find someone to talk to about it.

  4. Step 4

Eat properly throughout the day. Have a good breakfast and a sensible lunch. Make sure to eat foods high in roughage like fresh vegetables and whole wheat foods. Omega-3 fish oils also help as they coat your stomach, causing you not to feel as hungry.

  5. Step 5

Eat something spicy. It is a fact, that spicy or hot foods fill you up faster than bland or sweet food.

  6. Step 6

Don't give in immediately. If you have an urge to eat, wait for fifteen minutes and examine why you have a desire to binge. What happened that day?, why are you upset? What feelings you are trying to avoid?

  7. Step 7

Get help: Don't be ashamed to get help or talk to someone. This is a form of eating disorder, similar to anorexia or bulimia. Very often as you begin to talk to someone the things that are troubling you will come to the surface.
