Washing windows can seem like a tiring chore, but the more often they are washed, the easier the task becomes, as the dirt will not have a chance to stick to the windows. It is especially important to clean windows when the spring comes to remove all the dirt that attached to the windows during the winter. Cleaning windows doesn't have to be such a large task if you use the correct products and methods, and before long you will have spotless windows.
Brush dirt off the window frame and tracks. Remove cobwebs with a small brush. Use a screwdriver covered with a paper towel to remove bugs and hard dirt in the tracks and frame. Vacuum the tracks and frame to remove all the dirt.

Remove the screen. Vacuum it from side to side and top to bottom. Vacuum both sides to remove all the dirt completely.

Fill a bucket with warm water. Add a few tablespoons of dish washing soap to the water. Dip a sponge into the soapy water. Rub the sponge on the dirt to remove it.

Dampen a squeegee in a bucket of clean water mixed with vinegar. Mix 1 tbsp. of vinegar per pint of water. Remove the soap in the window by drawing the squeegee from the top of the window down, from left to right. Overlap each vertical stroke by 1 inch.

Wipe the squeegee after each stroke with a cloth.

Wipe the bottom edge of the window with a clean sponge after each stroke.

Dry the windowsills with a cloth.

Put the screen back into place.
