How to Make Delicious Quesadillas Quickly
Versatile quesadillas can serve as a quick, simple snack or become the base for a multi-dish Mexican dinner night. Basic quesadillas are easy to make and the ingredients are relatively inexpensive. If you have the time and inclination, you can get as creative as you like with them. There are many options for add-in ingredients such as chicken, turkey, seafood, roasted peppers and sausage. Basic, delicious quesadillas can be made quickly in your oven. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 8 flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Guacamole

Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees. Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high heat and saute onions until tender. Cool slightly.

Arrange 4 tortillas in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Top each tortilla evenly with cheese and onions. Place another tortilla on top of each and press them together. Place the baking sheet in the oven.

Bake quesadillas until cheese is melted through, about 8 minutes. Check the progress after 6 minutes to make sure the tortillas aren't burning. Transfer the quesadillas to plates, cut into wedges and serve with sides of sour cream, salsa and guacamole. Add more cheese to the top of the quesadilla if you like.

Tips & Warnings
Ingredients are endless, you can add chopped chicken to the recipe
Another variation is with the onion and instead of shredded cheese use sliced brie and sliced papaya, it's delicious
You can make a ham and cheese quesadilla. Just use sliced ham and cheddar cheese.
