Step 1
Choose the room that you are looking to stripe. If you are going with bolder stripes you may want to only do 1-2 walls in the room to not create too bold of a statement.
-
Step 2
Choose your technique. This room was created with ragging off the wet paint on the darker stripe. You can keep your stripes uniform or vary them in a pattern, It is also fun to create striping with no uniformity for a unique look.
-
Step 3
If you are looking for a more subtle look you can also stripe using a high gloss stripe of the same color over a flat painted wall.
-
Step 4
For a clean look you can also paint one horizontal stripe and add a square accent.
-
Step 5
Finish the room with adding accessories to complement your room. Be careful to not add to many wall hangings to not make the room too busy.
