Step 1
Apply for government assistance programs such as WIC or TANF. These programs do not cover the cost of diapers, but can help you get other free items that will free up cash to buy diapers.
-
Step 2
Visit manufacturer's websites and look for free offers. You can often sign up for coupons to be mailed to you, or for printable coupons to be emailed to you.
-
Step 3
Take advantage of freebies in public restrooms. Many department stores and restaurants have disposable diapers in the baby changing area of the restroom. Don't be greedy - just take one.
-
Step 4
Enter contests and giveaways online. Google "Diaper giveaway." Also look on Twitter for giveaways. Many mom blogs offer contests with free diapers as the prize.
-
Step 5
Look for rebates. Check your Sunday paper inserts for free after rebate offers. If you are willing to follow the steps and send in your receipt and UPC code, you can score a free pack of diapers.
-
Step 6
Go to baby fairs, expos, and baby trade shows. Vendors will often give away samples or goodie bags with diapers.
-
Step 7
Ask for them. If anyone is stumped on what to get you for a shower gift, or for the new baby, say "Diapers would sure help." When your mom calls and says, "Honey, is there anything you need?" Mention diapers.
-
Step 8
Switch to cloth diapers. They are more enviromentally friendly and you only have to buy them once. They are more work, but can save you a heap of money.
-
Step 9
Get free and discount coupons online. See the resources section below for links to related baby and coupon sites.
