Garden fresh produce is best for this recipe but grocery produce will do just as well.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 Fresh tomatoes
  • 3 Jalapeno
  • 3 Habaneros
  • 3 Chili peppers
  • 1 Red pepper
  • 1 Green pepper
  • 1 White onion
  • 1 Bunch of cilantro
  • 1 Lime
  1. Step 1

Chop all vegetables before you get started. I add all of the seeds from the hot peppers, you may wish to cut this down a little according to taste. Remove the seeds from the bell peppers. Rough chop the tomatoes. Do not yet add the cilantro.

  2. Step 2

Add the vegetables to a large pot, I squish the tomatoes to make them juicy. Cook this down for about 15 minutes. Some people prefer not to cook it at all and eat it fresh, it's good that way too but I like to infuse the peppers into the salsa.

  3. Step 3

When your salsa is finished cooking, add the cilantro and the lime by squeezing one half into the salsa. Let the salsa sit for about an hour in the refrigerator.

  4. Step 4

This Salsa will last for a few days refrigerated. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Never touch your face or any other sensitive body part after working with peppers. Wash your hands and then rub the other half of the lime on them.
  • Do not attempt to can the salsa unless you know how to can.
