Cat Rolling

Cat rolling is an easy and relaxing yoga pose. It combines two poses: Cat and Cat Lift. This pose helps to stretch the body and relax the mind.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • optional yoga mat
  1. Step 1

Start by sitting on your knees. Reach your hands forward so that you are now on your hands and knees. Your knees should be spread slightly apart, palms on the floor at shoulder width.

  2. Step 2

Move into Cat position by rounding the back, pressing your tailbone and head towards the floor. This is the Cat pose. This pose stretches the spine and back of the neck. Take a breath in and out while in this position.

  3. Step 3

Transition into Cat Lift pose by raising the tailbone and head up. This will arch the back, and continue to stretch the spine and front of the neck. Take a breath in and out while in this position.

  4. Step 4

Roll back into Cat position by rounding your back and pressing your tailbone and head down once more. This is Cat Rolling. Continue several times to get the most out of the stretch.
