If you don't have time for a hair coloring re-do, you can try a few quick fixes.

Sometimes we just don't have the time to fix our roots, but we don't want the world to know it. A few simple tricks may help cover them up until we can find the time to fix them. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Avoid certain hairstyles that draw attention to your roots. While you're waiting to get your hair colored again, avoid ponytails, sharp parts in hair, and stick-straight hair.

Try a little baby powder. When you have light-colored hair, baby powder can help disguise roots. Simply apply on your roots and brush out your hair. Baby powder also can absorb oil in your hair when you don't have time to wash it. It can make your hair appear ashy if you apply too much, so start with a little and use more if necessary.

Try a hair powder. Commercial hair powders are easy to use. Spray it on and allow it to dry, then brush your hair.

Use a root touch-up product. If you don't have time to dye all your hair but you have an extra 10 minutes, a root touch-up goes on easy and fast.

Try hair crayons. With this product, you dab it lightly onto your roots. You apply it sparingly to your roots. The only problem: If it gets wet, it can run.

Volumizing sprays can work, too. Apply a good volume spray and allow your hair to fall around your face to disguise roots. You can style it up or down.

Try a last-ditch fix if you're out and about:
Use a mascara close enough to your hair color. Apply it using the mascara wand.
