Things You'll Need:
- braid (3/4 inch wide)
- assorted small and medium beads
- small button
- sewing needle
- sewing thread
-
Step 1
Measure a piece of braid long enough to fit your wrist. Add 1 inch to this measurement to turn under on the ends so the braid won't ravel. Cut braid to that length.
-
Step 2
Sort out the beads you like. Decide how many you want to use. Use small to medium beads that compliment the color of the braid you are using. You can use all one color or a combination of colors. You can use just small beads if desired.
-
Step 3
Thread a needle with thread that matches your braid as closely as you can or use clear thread. Sew on the beads to the braid evenly spaced in a pleasing pattern. You can sew rows of beads or sew on in a pattern. Such as heart shapes or X's and 0's. Use your imagination!
-
Step 4
Turn the beaded braid under 1/4 inch under and sew down edges on each end . Sew a small button that matches braid on one end. On the other end make a loop. With the needle with the thread doubled go though the middle of the other end slip on enough small beads that will make a loop to fit over the button and tie the thread off. This will be the beaded braid bracelet fastener. Fasten by putting the loop over the button.
