Step 1
Go to the Myxer website. Myxer lets you make audio files into Samsung A990 ringtones without having to register or sign up on the website. Click "Make Your Own" to start creating the Samsung A990 ringtone.

Click "Browse" on the next page. A box will open. Use that box to find the song on your computer that you plan to use as a Samsung A990 ringtone. After you choose the file, click the "Upload" tab. Once the song uploads, a "Customize Ringtone" box will open.

Move the box in the "Pick Your Section" part of the screen to choose where your ringtone will start. After you do this, click on the right side of the box. Doing so will make the box either bigger or smaller, which will change the length of the ringtone.

Click "Continue" when you're finished, and an "Enter Your Phone Number" text box will appear. Type your number in the box and click the white "Send to Phone" tab. Your Samsung A990 will receive a "PIX" message.

Open the message on your Samsung A990, and the ringtone will begin playing on the phone. Click the "Options" button on the Samsung A990. Several options will appear on the screen of the phone. Scroll to and select "Save as Ringtone." You will then be asked if you want to make the ringtone the default for the Samsung A990. Choose yes or no, and the ringtone will be saved to the phone (regardless of which you choose).
