      Cut your cardstock or heavy weight paper to the correct specifications set by the United States Postal Service. Regular size post cards should be cut to 5.6 inches by 4.25 inches and jumbo cards can be 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches.

      Decorate the front of the post card with a painting, saying or photograph to make it your own. You can personalize each card to match its recipient. Consider birthday postcards, congratulatory postcards or thinking of you cards.

      Write your message on the left half of the backside of the postcard. Leave the top right for the postage and the bottom right for the address you are mailing your postcard to.
