Instructions

    • 1

Cut the wrapping paper so it is about an inch longer than the DVD box and wraps around the box with a little overlap. If it is a multi-disc set, the box may be thicker, so allow some extra paper at the top and the bottom.

    • 2

Center the DVD box on the unprinted side of the paper. Use a small piece of tape to stick the right side of the paper to the box. Fold the left side of the paper over the box so it meets the other side in the middle, and secure it with tape.

    • 3

Working at the bottom end of the box, push the small right and left sides of the paper flat against the box to create two angled flaps sticking off the bottom of the box. Then fold the top flap down, so it is flat against the box bottom, and fold the bottom flap up, so it covers the other flap. Secure with tape.

    • 4

Turn the box so the top end faces you. Repeat Step 3, pushing the small right and left sides of the paper flat against the box to create two angled flaps sticking off the bottom of the box. Fold the top flap down, so it is flat against the box bottom, and fold the bottom flap up, so it covers the other flap. Secure with tape.

    • 5

Decorate the package with a bow, ribbon or gift card as desired.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some wrapping paper is printed with dotted guides on the underside to help in cutting straight lines. You may want to select paper like this if you have a difficult time cutting evenly. A strong geometric pattern could serve the same purpose.

  • If you will give multiple DVDs as gifts at the same time, save time by cutting one piece of paper and using it as a template for all the DVDs.
