How to Become a Certified Martial Arts Teacher Online

Training to become a certified martial arts teacher online requires the ability to view videos on a high-speed internet connection. Most online martial arts courses require that a skills test and exhibition be successfully completed in front of an instructor before a certificate is granted. Martial arts instructors have to be certified in order to teach at any type of karate-related martial arts school or camp.

Students can demonstrate their skills for evaluation by coming into the training center, by creating a video DVD of skills, or by a webcam evaluation. This type of examination process must be completed at each level of training, in order to access the higher skill level sessions. No additional fees are charged to take, or receive a test evaluation. Students can watch and stop the training video as often as needed during the training process.

  2. Step 2

    Fighting simulation with a partner is not required during the initial online training. While the first level of training does not require the aid of a partner, but is permissible for students to train and be evaluated together. Martial arts training levels two and three do require a partner when demonstrating skill proficiency and technique during the evaluation process. Skills students will learn include throws, close quarter combat, joint locks, grappling, multiple attacker defense, weapons disarming, and takedowns. Martial arts students can also schedule in person session with expert trainers if they so choose.

    Once a student successful completes the martial arts training course and evaluations, the paperwork process can begin for instructor certification. The Seieido Federation also offers compensation for referrals. The training videos and techniques can be accessed free of charge from this online martial arts training school. Students can also add in studio components to training, with instruction fees charged.
