How to Make Palm Centro Ringtones

Your Palm Centro, as with other smartphones and cell phones, will come with ringtones pre-programmed onto the phone. You can add even more ringtones to your Centro by making your own ringtones and then downloading them straight onto the phone. Once you know how to turn songs that are on your computer into Palm Centro ringtones, you can have an endless supply of ringtones. As an added bonus, each Palm Centro ringtone that you make is free.

Instructions

1. Begin by registering for a free account on the Myxer website. After you fill out the requested information on the account page, an email will be sent by Myxer to your account. Open that email and then click the link located in the message to officially create your Myxer account. After you click that link, you will be signed into your Myxer account and will be ready to make Palm Centro ringtones.

2. Click "Make Your Own" to get to the page you need to start making Palm Centro ringtones. On that page, click the "Browse" tab. Look for and find the song that you want as a Palm Centro ringtone. After you have chosen the song, click "Customize."

3. Move the location of the gray rectangle in the "Select a Section" box to select where your ringtone will start. After you move this box, you should click the "Play" button to make sure you are happy with the starting point of the ringtone.

4. Change how long your Palm Centro ringtone will run by typing a number in the "Length" box. A Palm Centro ringtone should be roughly 15 to 30 seconds long.

5. Click the "Save For Later" tab when you're done. Then, click the "Sign Out" link to get out of your Myxer account.

6. Open the web browser on your Palm Centro. Then, go to "m.myxer.com." This will take you to the mobile website for Myxer.

7. Click "Sign In" and then enter your Myxer account.

8. Click the "Recent Downloads" link on the next page to find the ringtone you just made. Click on the link for the ringtone and then select "Download Ringtone" to download the ringtone to your Palm Centro.

Tips & Warnings

• You may be billed for Internet service by your cell phone service provider while downloading the ringtone to your Palm Centro. This will be dependent on your particular contract with the service provider.
