Things You'll Need:
- Games/activities Food Music
-
Step 1
Offer an array of easy snacks, like chips and dip, cheese and crackers and popcorn. Fruit platters and vegetable platters add a nice healthy touch.
-
Step 2
Hire a DJ with karaoke to play at the party. If that isn't financially possible, place a large stereo off to the side and make one person responsible for changing the music. Play only upbeat music, preferably loudly.
-
Step 3
Plan age-appropriate activities for your teen birthday party. Include dancing, games such as Pictionary, charades and video game tournaments. If the weather is warm, set up a volleyball net and horseshoes.
-
Step 4
Prepare a lunch or dinner meal of easy-to-eat "finger foods." Teens are always on the go and too busy chitchatting at parties to have a formal sit-down meal. Pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs or tacos are all teen favorites.
-
Step 5
Serve cake and ice cream about two hours after the beginning of the party. Set aside time for your teen to open her gifts in front of all the guests.
