Highlight and select "Options" on the main menu.

Select "GPS."

Press the "Menu" key.

Select "Disable GPS." If the BlackBerry asks you to confirm, select "Yes." If "Disable GPS" is not an option but "Activate GPS" is, then your GPS is already turned off.

It would appear there is no happy medium. Geotagging is like Obamacare, you don't know what it is until you have it. I don't want the GPS off all together, yet I'd love to toss the camera in the drink when it stops to see where I am. For God's sake RIM, I KNOW Where I AM!

Did it to my phone but need to do it to the kids'. The only thing I'm wondering is if I have turned off GPS altogether, does that mean the kids can't be located via their cell phone in case of emergency? Not sure if these directions are for just turning off the geo-tagging or for all GPS features... Need to figure that out!
