      Turn off your computer if step 1 did not work. Shutting down the computer may be prevented by the virus. So you will probably need to just press the power button to turn the computer off.

      Turn the computer back on and press F8 as soon as your computer starts to load. This should occur when the screen shows the computer brand's logo.

      Select "Start in Safe Mode" from the list of options. This will let your computer load but limit the functions you are able to use.

      Select the "Start Windows" button after your computer starts up. This is located in the lower right corner of the screen.
