Instructions

    • 1

Place a wooden spoonful of icing in a bowl. Add a few drops of the desired color of food coloring. Mix with the spoon until the icing is a consistent color.

    • 2

Spread the icing on one side of a graham cracker. Repeat with five more graham crackers. Insert the piping tip into the icing bag. Use the spoon to shovel the rest of the colored icing into the bag.

    • 3

Pipe a line of icing around the perimeter of a plain graham cracker. Pick up one iced graham cracker and place it, iced side facing out, in the piped line on one side. Pipe more icing on each side of the crack. Hold for a minute or so until the icing begins to harden.

    • 4

Repeat the process with the remaining iced graham crackers, until you have formed a square wall around the bottom graham cracker. Pipe icing along the top of the wall, and place the last graham cracker over the top, iced side up. Pipe another line of icing along the cracks. Make as many more as you need, and allow to sit out overnight.

    • 5

Place alphabet candy on the sides and top of each square. You may also pipe on letters when you ice the side, if you cannot find candy letters. Press the letters on gently, while wiggling a bit to make sure they stick.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use blue and green food coloring for a baby boy. Try pink and yellow for a baby girl.

  • It is not advisable to eat the blocks when the party is over since they have sat out.
