One of the greatest things about iPods is portability. And the new generation iPod Shuffle takes it to a new level by being only 1-inch by 1 1/2-inch and weighing just a little over half an ounce. The iPod Shuffle is useless, however, if you can't get your songs onto it. Transferring music from iTunes 6.0 to an iPod Shuffle is simple and can be done in a few steps.
Be aware that there are newer versions of iTunes available for download, and when you connect your iPod Shuffle you will be asked if you want to update. If you prefer to stick with iTunes 6 just cancel out the request.
