How to Make a Brochure to Sell a House
Houses go on the market all the time and the competition to sell a is aggressive. Selling a house depends on getting the word out about it. The more people who know that a house is for sale, the better chances of finding a suitable buyer. One of the best ways to get a professional-looking advertisement for selling a house is by making a brochure. You can accomplish this with a few things, a printer and some paper.

It is very important to have all of the "details" about the house and other pertinent information. Make a list of all the selling points to be included in the brochure. This would include number of bedrooms and baths, eat-in-kitchen and type of countertop or cabinets, special features such as wood or ceramic flooring, fireplaces or skylights, and garage and patio or lanai. You can also list information like age of house, type of heating system the house has, school district and estimated annual taxes. The more facts you include, the better your chances are of attracting serious buyers.

Take pictures of the outside of the house. Include photos from several different views. Remember to include the landscape, especially any features like a garden, pool or fenced yard.

Take pictures of the inside of the house. Do the same thing and include each room at various angles. Make any needed edits, alterations or resizing needed to all pictures. Save the pictures of the house in a file.

Open Microsoft Word. Select "New" located under "File". Select the "Publications" tab. Pick "Brochure" and then click on "OK" to open the brochure template.

Download your pictures into the brochure. Select any of the shown graphics. Use the Insert menus "Picture" ("From File") option to locate the ones you took of the house. Click on "Insert" to add it. Do this for each photo you want to include.

Replace the text on the brochure template. Highlight and then replace or delete any part of the text. Make sure you include all the important details about your specific house.

Review the brochure for any mistakes and to make sure you've included all important information such as number to contact to schedule a tour and asking price. Print one test brochure and check it again.

Practice loading the paper for the test brochure in the printer to print the back of it accurately. The paper must be inserted correctly.

Print your brochures. Use high-quality paper to enhance the appearance of these hand-outs.

Take several series of photographs and select a few of the best ones to include in your brochure. Use photos that show off your home's best features or window views. Read the tips and guidelines found on the default brochure template. They explain many helpful ways to make a brochure.
Save a copy of brochure to a folder on your desktop; you may have to access it later on to make more copies or changes.
