How to Set Up a Canopy Tent
There are several kinds of canopy tents. 1
Remove the canopy's material roof from the pocket of the metal frame cover. Then remove the metal frame of the canopy tent from the cover.
-
2
Place the metal frame standing on its legs. Pull out on one leg while another person pulls on the opposite side. They do not have to be pulled out completely, but enough to leave about a foot between one leg and the center of the frame. Pull out on the other two legs until they are also at least one foot from the center.

3
Place the canopy material roof over the top of the metal frame. Look for the Velcro that is at each corner of the top and match it up with each leg that has Velcro. This will help hold down the roof until you are finished setting up the canopy. Be careful not to tear the roof.
-
4
Look at each leg. They will have up to four fittings in order to be able to adjust the height of the canopy. Place each leg at the highest fitting, for example, and make sure the little metal ball snaps into the opening. At the top of each leg there is a black brace that has one fitting that helps brace the canopy. This part is hard and will need someone strong to push the metal piece upward until the metal ball snaps into the fitting. This will automatically pull the canopy out to its fullest extension.
-
5
Hammer stakes into the bottom of each leg. There is a hole on the bottom of each leg that will allow you fit stakes into each one. This holds the canopy down especially on windy days. You can also use small round weights in case you are using the canopy tent on concrete.
