How to Change The Fuse on Christmas Lights

Christmas is a time for decorations and lights. If you find that you have a dead strand of lights and you've tried everything to get them to work, the fuses of the lights might be your problem. Instead of throwing the old Christmas lights away, change the fuse and you can have your lights working again.

Changing the Fuse

1. Find the extra parts that came with your Christmas lights. This should contain a few replacement bulbs and spare fuses.

2. Unplug the lights (if they are plugged in).

3. 
    
   Your fuse "box" will be located in the plug.

   Locate the part of the lights that plugs into the wall. This is where the fuses for the lights will be located.

4. Remove the cover to the fuse "box" of the Christmas lights. It may pop off or slide down.

5. Remove the old fuses.

6. Insert the new fuses into the fuse spaces of the lights.

7. Replace the cover on the fuse "box."

8. Plug the Christmas lights back in.
