How to Become Real Estate Agent Fast
To become a real estate agent fast, you will still need to complete the requirements of the state real estate department where you are applying for a license. Real estate agents are licensed in the state in which they do business. Real estate laws vary from state to state, and licensing requirements may vary. Real estate agents take two real estate exams. One is a state exam, and the other is a federal exam. The federal exam is the same test for all potential real estate licensees in the United States. The state test is specific to that state's real estate laws.

1
Take a crash course in real estate. Enroll in a real estate school where you will go every day until the course is completed. The amount of hours required may vary between states, and some states allow online courses. Others do not. For example, in some states, 90 hours of a state-approved real estate course work is required. Many real estate students take classes on weekends, or they take the courses over a period of months. If you want you to become a real estate agent faster, sign up for a course that runs for consecutive days. Instead of completing the course hours in 6 months, you can finish it in two weeks.

2
Contact the state's real estate department. The state real estate department will have the information for that state's requirements. Typically, an applicant must successfully pass an approved real estate course, pass the state and federal real estate exams, and complete an application with the state real estate board. Discover all of your state's requirements. That way, you will be prepared to complete the process quickly.

3
Get your fingerprints taken as soon as possible. States typically require a background check and fingerprints of applicants. Do this as soon as possible. If there are questions in your background that may hold up the process, resolve them immediately.

4
Schedule your testing. When you finish your real estate course--and pass the class test--you will need to go to a testing center to take the state and federal exams. Take them as soon as possible. If you delay in taking your exams, not only will it delay your time in obtaining your real estate license, but it will increase your chances of failing the tests. Naturally, if you fail the tests, you must spend additional time retaking them. See the link in the Resources section for additional information on schedule testing.
