How to Restore a Panel in Windows XP

Windows XP has a very useful feature called "Windows XP System Restore." If you would like to restore a panel in Windows XP on your computer--perhaps because of a troublesome failure--you can run this feature, and it will restore your system to a previous state.

Instructions

      Go to the "Start" menu.

      Click on "Programs."

      Click on "Accessories."

      Click on "System Restore." This action will bring up a system restore window.

      Select the "Restore my computer to an earlier time" radio button.

      Click on "Next" at the bottom right of the System Restore window. This will bring you to several restore points.

      Click on the restore point that has a date and time previous to the date and time of the panel deletion you wish to restore.

      Click on "Next" at the bottom right of the system restore window. This will bring you to a confirmation screen.

      Click "Next." The System Restore will shut down all open applications and reboot your computer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Any software you have installed after the restoration point you have selected will be deleted from the system.
