If you have been thinking about joining the jewelry-making craze but don't know how to get started or where to begin, one of the best projects is a basic pair of earrings, which can be made in only about 10 minutes. When you are done, you have a pair of earrings that you know are not exactly like any others in the world. Pick two large beads of the same color, and then other beads in complementary colors.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 earring hoop findings 2 6-mm round beads 4 4-mm round beads 4 3-mm round beads
  1. Step 1

Decide on the color scheme for your earrings. The 6-mm beads should be the focal point of the earrings and the smaller beads should complement the large beads.

  2. Step 2

Open the clasp of one of the hoop findings and thread one 3-mm bead, one 4-mm bead, one 6-mm bead, another 4-mm bead, and a final 3-mm bead. Position the beads so that they are centered on the bottom of the hoop. Close the clasp.

  3. Step 3

Repeat Step 2 to make a second earring to match the first earring.

Tips & Warnings
  • The bead sizes and the number of beads on the earrings can be changed to create different variations of these hoop beads.
