Things You'll Need:
- Italian charms (including starter link) Charm tool (optional)
-
Step 1
Choose the charms you will use to make the Italian charm bracelet (see end of article for a suggested resource).
Determine how many charms you will need for your bracelet. A bracelet for a small wrist will take approximately 17 charm links. A bracelet for a medium wrist will take approximately 18 links. A bracelet for a large wrist will take approximately 19 links. -
Step 2
Arrange the charms in your desired order when you have decided on your bracelet theme and the number of charms necessary.
-
Step 3
Begin to create the charm bracelet.
Italian charms have a loop on one end and a hook on the other. The bracelet must start with the starter link. You will recognize the starter link by the locking mechanism it contains. Connect the hook end of a regular link by aligning it with the locking loop of the starter link. The hook should slide easily into the loop. After sliding the hook in, lock it to complete this connection. -
Step 4
Continue to attach the Italian charms to the bracelet. The regular charms do not lock like the starter link, but they should be sufficiently secure.
Add the links you have chosen until the bracelet fits your wrist. The recommended sizing for a bracelet is to allow enough slack that it is comfortable, but not so much that it can fall off over your hand. -
Step 5
Add the last link and lock it into the other side of the starter link to finish the Italian charm bracelet.
