How to Use Vintage Concrete Mixers
Although some projects require the use of concrete, purchasing partial cement truckloads can cost hundreds. Mixing concrete on a small scale just using buckets and a stirrer means you don't get the best consistency. Vintage concrete mixers can be easily used for many concrete projects and can make cement truck quality when the proper techniques are used. Back the tractor up to the vintage cement mixer. Attach the mixer to the tractor's three-point hitch by simple backing into the hooks. Attach the mixer's Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft to the tractor's PTO .

Park the tractor and mixer next to your project. Turn on the PTO, and the vintage mixer will start rotating.

Read the mixing instructions on the concrete mix bag. Dump the concrete mix bag into the mixer.

Add the suggested water amount to the mixer.

Add the suggested sand amount to the mixer.

Speed up the RPMs on your tractor to make the mixer spin faster. Allow the mixer to rotate for several minutes. Shut off the PTO on the tractor.

Adjust the three-point hitch levers in the tractor to dump the concrete mix into your project area. Or you can just leave the mixer at the upward-pointing angle and scoop out cement as you need it for your project.
