Find some cool wheels for your Lego cars. Create a dramatic look by using two different sizes. Place the larger ones in the rear and the smaller ones up front.

Construct a frame around the wheels of your Lego cars. This is best done with long, flat Legos linking the axles. Make the rear of the car wider than the front. Strengthen the frame with larger blocks across the seams. Interlink the Legos with every level you build. Make sure that they are also positioned at right angles to each other so you are building side to side, as well as front to back. This will make your frame sturdy enough to withstand a crash.

Use curved Legos with smooth tops for the hood. This gives your car an aerodynamic look. These smooth Legos can also be added to the roof, trunk and spoilers. Make sure that they are facing forward or to the sides.

Accessorize with any cool engine parts you have. Several Lego sets come with specialized pieces. Even though they belong to other sets, they still look interesting on cars you create.

Add wings. Tail fins make a Lego car especially cool. Any Lego set designed to build aircraft will contain fins. They are very common. Put these on your cool Lego car for a hot rod feel.

Personalize your Lego car with artwork. Cut up any stickers you have and add them to the body. Cut out designs from magazines and stick them on with clear tape.
