How to Reinstall Windows XP Fonts
If you have lost the fonts from your computer's operating system, it's not that hard to get them back. Just be sure to save your files first. To reinstall the original Windows XP fonts, you must reinstall Windows XP. This is generally OK to do, but there is the possibility of file loss. Insert the Windows XP CD.

Reboot the computer.

Press any key when the message "Press any key to boot from CD" appears. Wait for the "Welcome to Setup" window.

Press the "Enter" key. This will select Option 1 on the "Welcome to Setup" window.

Agree to the licensing agreement. This is accomplished by pressing the "F8" key.

Press the "R" key at the next window. This option will repair your Windows XP installation. The repair includes adding missing files. The missing fonts will be reinstalled during the repair process.
