Instructions

    • 1

Open a magazine and place it cover up on a scanner bed. Place scanner cover against the magazine to flatten as much as possible. Scan the cover of the magazine.

    • 2

Reduce the scan to 25 percent. Run off a copy. If the image is too large for the size you need, scan this new copy and reduce it to 50 or 25 percent.

    • 3

Run a final copy for this craft on to card stock.

    • 4

Use a paper cutter or craft knife to cut out the card stock magazine cover copy. Make precise, even cuts.

    • 5

Use a craft stick or bone folder to crisply score the spine area of the mini magazine note holder cover.

    • 6

Place a pad of notepaper into the mini magazine cover. Make sure it fits properly. If the notepad is too thick, remove some of the pages.

    • 7

Glue the inside of the spine of the mini magazine cover and place the note paper firmly against the glued card stock. Carefully wrap an elastic band around the mini magazine note holder to keep the notepaper and card stock spine seated against one another to dry properly.

    • 8

Place a strip of adhesive-backed magnet on to the back of your mini magazine note holder for a refrigerator display.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a computer program to personalize the mini magazine cover after you scan it. Insert a photo of a family member, friend or pet and change the headlines for a whimsical note holder.
