Step 1
Gather your family or friends together to take a few snapshots with a digital camera. You don't necessarily have to have family and friends in the photos you use to make your online greeting cards. You can just take a simple photo of yourself or a child or whatever you would like. You also have the option of using another person's artwork or designs, but this article will be focused on making greeting cards online with a personal photo.
-
Step 2
Sign up for an account with Shutterfly or Snapfish. These sites will allow you to upload your photos and create completely personalized custom greeting cards. Some of these sites on the Internet will do this for free, others will charge a small fee to use their services.
-
Step 3
Log in to your new account and begin uploading the photos you would like to use in your greeting card. Locate the "My Pictures" tab and click on it. This will open up a prompt that will ask you to upload your photos. Locate your photo files and upload them to your account.
-
Step 4
Click the "Store" tab and choose the card template you want to use for your greeting card. You can choose from all types of sizes, backgrounds and borders to go around your photo on the greeting card.
-
Step 5
Add a personalized greeting message to be included on the card. This can be anything you wish the card to say, whether it is birthday wishes, holiday greetings, or simply an "I love you." Make it personal and truly express your heart and feelings on the card and let your loved ones know you appreciate them.
-
Step 6
Add all the email addresses of the people you want to receive your personalized online greeting card and then click "Send." Your online card will now be sent to all of the email addresses you entered.
