How to Build an Outdoor Shower Stall

So you have an outdoor shower, but the stall is somewhat lacking in appeal, or perhaps it's absent all together. Summer is around the corner, and you want to dress up the backyard, but unfortunately, you are on a tight budget. Not to worry, the following steps will have you enjoying your outdoor shower in no time! (These plans are most appropriate for a shower that is attached to a building, but may be modified as appropriate to accommodate other configurations.)

    Things You'll Need

    • Post Hole Digger Gravel Quick Set Concrete 4 4x8 Fence Posts Level Roll of 4x10 Reed Fencing Staple Gun River Rock

        Use your post hole digger to dig a hole 2 feet deep. Line the bottom of the hole with gravel.

        Place your fence post into the hole, with 6 feet above the surface. Pour your concrete around the post, use your level to make sure that the post is level, and if not, adjust accordingly.

        Space the remaining holes and posts in an "L" shape, 2.6 feet apart, and with the last pole closest to the wall where your shower spigot extends from.

        Allow the concrete to set and dry. Then mark your posts 1 foot up from the ground, and one foot down from the top.

        With assistance, attach the first corner of your reed fence to the first pole, stapling just below the top mark, and just above the bottom. Repeat this procedure with the remaining posts.

        After assembling your outdoor shower stall, fill the interior perimeter with river rocks for added effect.
