McAfee Internet Security Suite with Site Advisor is an Internet security and antivirus program that comes preinstalled on many popular computer brands. Similar to Norton antivirus, McAfee affords a strong level of protection against viruses and malware but tends to use up a large amount of random access memory, even when there is no active virus scan taking place. Due to the presence of lightweight, free and effective antivirus alternatives such as Avast and AVG free, many users experience faster computing speeds by uninstalling McAfee Internet Security Suite.
