How to Make Bike Seat Covers
A bicycle seat is often one of the most noticeably worn parts of a bike. Why not give your bike a quick cosmetic lift by covering the seat with a piece of suede or leather? This project is quick and simple.

1
Remove the seat from the bicycle. Turn it upside down onto the wrong side of the piece of fabric you are using to recover the seat. Lightly draw an outline around the bike seat, adding an inch around the entire outline. Cut along the line.
-
2
Punch holes around the edges with leather punch pliers. Make the holes approximately 1/2 inch from the edges.

3
Place the fabric onto the bicycle seat with the right side facing up. Begin to attach the seat cover by lacing the lace through the holes while the cover is on the seat. Start in the middle and work outward toward the ends. When laced properly, the underside of the seat will somewhat resemble a laced tennis shoe.

Tighten the lacing, tie it securely, and trim the excess to finish.
