Things You'll Need:
- Roxio Easy DVD Copy program Recordable DVD
-
Step 1
Make sure you have a blank, recordable DVD in the format your DVD drive works with. Use a double layer disc if you can, especially if you are copying every file transferred from another DVD. Roxio will have to compress the files for a single layer disc, slightly reducing the quality.
-
Step 2
Open the Roxio Easy DVD Copy program. If you open the Roxio Easy DVD Copy folder on your computer, it includes icons for the Roxio interface and its "Video Copy and Convert" tool. Open the Video Copy tool to go directly to the program you need.
-
Step 3
Choose one of the selections in the "Video Copy & Convert" window. Select "DVD Video Copy" if you are copying every video file in one folder. Select "Video Compilation," if you are copying selected files.
-
Step 1
Go to the drop-down menu in the Source window and select "Browse for Disc Image/DVD-Video folder." The Media Selector brings up all files and folders on the computer. Choose the folder your movie is in. Press "OK" to load all the folder contents into the program.
-
Step 2
Select the disc type you are burning the movie onto with the menu near the size bar. If the program needs to compress the movie to fit it on the disc, the size bar turns orange and the Content Quality will read "Good." Otherwise the bar is green with the Content Quality reading "Excellent" or "Identical to Original."
-
Step 3
Check the program's "Source" section to preview the movie. Use the "Language Options" button to remove any language tracks you don't want by un-checking them on the list that appears. This will reduce the disc space needed and the chance that the movie will be compressed.
-
Step 4
Go to the "Destination" section and select your DVD burner drive. Insert your blank DVD into the drive. Choose your write speed and the number of copies you want to burn. Select "Copy Now" at the bottom and wait for the movie files to burn to the DVD.
-
Step 1
Click on "Add Movies" in the Source section to bring up the Media Selector, and choose the folder that has your video files. When the contents appear on the right-hand side, click the file you want copied. Hold down "Ctrl" while clicking to select multiple files. Click "OK" to load the selected files into the program.
-
Step 2
Select the disc type you are copying the movie onto and adjust the Language Options in the Source section. This is done the same way as if you were copying a full disc (Section 1). You can also use the arrow buttons to check on the file order, rename the file titles with the "Rename" button and save a copy with "Save Compilation As" in the File menu.
-
Step 3
Input the destination by selecting "DVD" in the Format list on the "Destination" section. Choose "Disc/Disc Image" on the "Output to" options. Press the "Options" button if you want to change the disc's name, create a menu on the disc and change the Video Format (It should be NTSC for U.S. DVDs).
-
Step 4
Open the Burn Setup window by clicking the "Burn" button above the Destination section. Insert the blank disk into the drive, choose the write speed and number of copies and press "OK."
