How to Paint Over Glazed Walls

Whether it's time to make a change or time to cover something up, painting over glazed walls is a lot easier than one may think. It's easy to prep and simple to do. It's amazing that just adding a fresh coat of a new color can change the entire look and feel of a room by breathing fresh life into it.

Things You'll Need

• Kilz oil-based primer Paintbrush Fine grit sandpaper Soft, clean, dry cloth Latex paint

Instructions

1. Apply a coat of Kilz oil-based primer to the wall with a paintbrush. Sanding is optional. Use fine grit sandpaper and rinse all of the dust away with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure that the area is completely dry before applying the primer.

2. Apply the paint with either a paintbrush or a roller once the primer is completely dry.

3. Allow 24 hours for the paint to dry before adding a second coat.

• Be sure to ventilate the area well when painting as paint fumes can be hazardous.
