Instructions

    • 1

Understand the concept of surround sound speakers. These speakers produce the small background noises that generate the feeling of being in the center of the action (surrounded). Proper placement of surround sound speakers is crucial to audio quality.

    • 2

Determine the location to install your Bose surround sound speakers. These speakers should be located in the rear half of the room, one on each side. Each should be set at the same level as a seated listener's ear, or slightly above.

    • 3

Obtain any additional accessories for your Bose surround sound speakers. Purchase any needed custom-designed wall brackets or floorstands, if needed. These may not be necessary in all cases.

    • 4

Install the Bose surround sound speakers. Use the purchased speaker mounts (stands) or set the speakers in position in the designated location. Make sure you have enough speaker wire to reach.

    • 5

Connect the other end of the speaker wire to the Bose home theater system. Test the surround sound speakers to ensure each works.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider the wiring involved and place it in spots that will hide it.

  • Always place your Bose surround sound speakers on an even and sturdy surface. Vibrations may cause movement in the speakers.

this is all very well but the really hard bit is screwing in the speaker to the bracket as you have no room to get the screw in. Can't attach the speaker to the bracket before fixing the bracket to the wall as then you wouldn't be able to screw the bracket. Tricky - any tips?
