Things You'll Need:
- 1 9x13 or 3-quart rectangular pan
- 1 cube (8 Tbsp.) butter
- 2 bananas, the riper, the better
- 1 box yellow cake mix (an organic brand is a good choice because they are normally void of artificial ingredients and most preservatives)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup shredded or flaked coconut
-
Step 1
Put a cube (8 Tablespoons) of butter in your 9 x 13/3-quart pan and put it in the oven. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Take the pan out once the butter has melted.
-
Step 2
Meanwhile, as the butter melts in the oven, place 2 bananas (the riper, the better) in the mixer and beat until they are thoroughly mashed.
-
Step 3
Add the cake mix and melted butter to the bananas and mix.
-
Step 4
Flatten mixture in the greased pan and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
-
Step 5
Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the bars.
-
Step 6
Sprinkle coconut on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges. Do not over-bake. Refrigerate leftovers.
