Step 1
Select photos from one event. For example, this mini-album captures an afternoon photo shoot with two toddler brothers. Print enough pictures for the cover plus 1/2 the number of inside pages. Since there are 6 pages in this album (plus the cover) I printed out 4 photos.
-
Step 2
Decide on the style and color scheme of your mini-album. The accordion style mini-album is unique and simple to work with. Look at the pictures you printed out and select two solid pieces of cardstock and 1 patterned piece of cardstock that goes well with the pictures.
-
Step 3
Choose one of the solid colored cardstocks, cut it down into squares, and mount them on each page of the mini-album. Cut the patterned cardstock into squares slightly smaller than the solid colored squares (you will need the same amount of patterned squares as you have pictures).
-
Step 4
Create journal entries (use a word processor) to tell the story of the event. Print it out on the other piece of colored cardstock.
-
Step 5
Put it all together. Cut down the journal entries and photos and alternate them on the mini-album pages. This mini-album scrapbook was made even simpler by using a stapler instead of glue dots to save time and give it a unique look.
