Digital Camera Pictures

Anyone can develop a good eye for taking a better digital camera picture if they follow these easy rules.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Digital Camera
  • Digital Picture Subjects
  1. Step 1

Better Digital Camera Pictures. First, Divide the scene on the camera screen into thirds. Imagine 3 horizontal and vertical lines running through the scene on the camera screen. Now try to line up the subject where one of these lines intersects. This is an old photography technique that improves the picture focus and interest. Most amateur photographers attempt to line up the subject in the center. This usually isn't as interesting as an off center shot.

  2. Step 2

Get Close to the Subject. Lousy camera shots happen when the subject is so far away the face is blurred. Move in close. Find a good camera angle and take the picture.

  3. Step 3

Good Digital Camera Pictures Happen. A good camera shot happens
when the background is blurred and the subject is sharp and
clear. Not the other way around which happens often.

  4. Step 4

Lining Up Digital Camera Shots. Before lining up the camera shot look for interesting objects like streets, unusual structures, skylines, buildings, even a street sign to draw the viewers eyes into the picture. These objects add good background interest to the picture shot.

  5. Step 5

Taking Better Pictures. Taking better pictures takes lots of practice. Fortunately, this is easy thanks to the digital camera's ability to store shots and erase the pictures you don't want to print. Use every opportunity possible to practice taking digital camera shots using these tips. And always incorporate your personal sense of whimsy and style into the shots. A little imagination in photography shots will
go a long way to improving style and technique. In other words think outside the box and try new approaches, different angles to add interest to the scene and take better digital camera pictures.
